WHAT TO DO:

Visit the local markets: Try local food, fresh ingredients, and artisan goods.

Tegenungan Waterfall: Located 20 minutes outside of Ubud, Tegenungun Waterfall is worth the visit. It gets busy, so it’s recommended to go in the morning. You can swim in the waterpool and enjoy a swing ride!

Tegallalang Rice Terrace: Tegallalang Rice Terrace is located a short drive outside the heart of Ubud. The rice terraces are a magical site creating beautiful patterns swirling around the countryside.

Monkey Forest: Monkey Forest is located in the heart of Ubud. This is a sacred monkey forest and home to grey long-tailed macaques. Explore and observe the monkey but it’s advised against to feed and touch them. Also, don’t bring any valuable or jewelry as the monkeys might snatch them!

Volcano hikes: If you’re up for hiking, we highly recommend one of the volcano treks for the spectacular views at the top. Mt. Batur is the most popular and easiest hike, located in Bangli Regency. The early sunrise hikes are the most popular option. You have to start the trek around 4 am but will be rewarded with stunning views as you watch the sunrise.
